Bridge Testing Expands in Indiana

CTL Engineering is built on three foundational pillars:  Communication, Teamwork, and Leadership in Technology.  One outcome of these practices is growth.

CTL’s Indiana Construction Services department has been expanding into various destructive and non-destructive testing services for bridges singulair tablet.  Bridge deck and subsurface tests are performed to determine concrete rebar cover, which is the least distance between the surface of embedded reinforcement and the outer surface of the concrete, and half-cell potential corrosion tests,  to measure corrosion of the existing steel reinforcement within a structure.  Additionally, CTL extracts concrete cores from the bridge abutments and bents for concrete porosity, carbonation depth, chloride content and concrete compressive strength.

Often, complex Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plans are required.  CTL develops the MOT plans in accordance with the Owner’s requirements and regulations, and industry standards.  The reports are used by Design Engineers or Owners to prepare the durability report to create plans for structural rehabilitation or structural replacement.

CTL has successfully completed numerous projects of varying sizes from smaller 3 span bridges up to 32 spans over roadways, waterways and railways.
