History
CTL Engineering, Inc. is a full service consulting engineering, testing and inspection company. CTL Engineering, formerly known as Columbus Testing Laboratory, was established in 1927 as an independent engineering and testing laboratory serving the local community. During the early years, the company focused on soils, foundation engineering, and construction testing and inspection services. Additional Services have been added over the last 30 years including Construction Administration, Chemical Analysis, Metallurgy, Product Testing, Roofing, Mining Engineering, Surveying, Civil Site Design, Environmental Engineering, Software Development and Digitizing.

Our initial client base was in Columbus, Ohio, and the surrounding communities. Today we regularly perform services throughout Ohio and in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwestern states. In addition to our corporate office, laboratory and engineering facilities in Columbus, we have expanded our service centers to four states and an International office.

Business First Journal regularly lists CTL Engineering, as one of the top engineering firms in central Ohio.

The Engineering News-Record ranked CTL Engineering in the top 500 architectural and engineering firms in the nation. We have over 200 employees, including registered engineers, architects, chemists, environment scientists, geologists and technicians.
