SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE

Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) services are available in our Columbus, Ohio laboratory to assist with your failure analysis, corrosion investigation, contaminant analysis or quality control evaluations.  The SEM and attached Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) system can be used for high magnification examination of samples as well as the ability to identify nearly all elements present on a wide variety of materials in discrete areas.  The SEM is a valuable tool when a light optical microscope cannot provide the necessary image resolution. 

Clients are welcome to be present during the analysis to help provide a better understanding and communication of our findings.  Samples up to 3” diameter and 2 lbs can be accommodated in the specimen chamber.  Contact us to schedule your SEM and EDS analysis services.
