COLUMBUS, Ohio (Jan., 22 2010) — The Rotary Club of Columbus announces the appointment of three local professionals to serve on its Board of Directors. The new officers will start their terms on July 1, 2010.
Jim Maniace, attorney with Chester Wilcox and Saxbe, LLP, was elected as the 2 nd Vice President. He currently serves as outside general counsel for companies and families in all aspects of business, commercial real estate and information technology law.
Steve Heiser, commercial realtor with Equity, Jim Houk, President & CEO of Bird-Houk Collaborative, CK Satyapriya, President & CEO of CTL Engineering, and Hugo Trux, Principal at of Trux Marketing/Management Solutions were all elected to serve as directors on the board.
“We welcome the experience and knowledge our new board members bring to the work of our club,” stated Scott Brown, executive director. “Our Board serves an essential role in supporting and enhancing the quality of life in our community. I am confident our new members will contribute greatly in building on the past successes of Rotary and in facing new challenges and opportunities.”
The four new members join a fifteen-member board that oversees Columbus Rotary’s finances, policies and practices, strategic planning, and community outreach.
