Since late 2007, CTL of WV has been actively permitting for several gas companies for drilling activities in the Marcellus Shale. In PA, since 2008 nearly 3,800 drilling permits have been issued nearly 10,000 Erosion and Sediment control permits. This is a staggering number and nearly all gas companies continue to have an aggressive drilling plan through 2015. We have been fortunate to be at the forefront of this industry and have been recognized by an increase of gas clients. Our permitting workload has since expanded into other related gas work. We currently have begun to design well pads, access roads, fresh water impoundments, compressor pads, and evaporation unit pads. Also, we have seen an increase in field work for wetland and stream reconnaissance, GIS mapping of pipeline routes, and site construction oversight. As a whole, the gas industry has spun many environmental and design opportunities for us. As drilling operations increase, water is in demand. The Susquehanna River Basin Commission has been inundated with water extraction permits, thusly disrupting the drilling timeline of the gas companies. Our recognition of water permitting process has allowed us to assist companies with realistic timelines |
