CTL Engineering, Inc. President/CEO C.K. Satyapriya announced earlier this month the completed acquisition of the Cincinnati-based company, Industrial Communications and Sound, Inc. (ICS).
This acquisition creates the opportunity to use the synergy of the two organizations to provide services to clients of CTL and ICS. CTL Engineering is a full-service consulting engineering, testing, inspection and analytical services company, while ICS specializes in audio-visual and security systems solutions and professional customer support.
“By providing a variety of services under one roof, clients will see less time spent looking for alternative vendors and establishing contracts, etc.,” Satyapriya said. “Also, due to the greater financial strength, this acquisition should provide clients greater assurance that projects will be accomplished.”
Allen Volz, the president of ICS, agreed. “With this acquisition, our clients will have the comfort-level that we are in it for the long-term,” he said. Additionally, some of our clients will benefit from the multiple locations offered by CTL.”
Both CTL and ICS were employee-owned companies before the acquisition, and by merging the two Employee Stock Ownership Program’s (ESOP), the employee owners will be the greatest beneficiaries. Both Presidents agreed that the employee owners of CTL and ICS should see an increase in stock value over time due to the increased cash flow from the combined entity. Also, this acquisition will provide for greater opportunities for employees to work in different fields and grow within their careers.
ICS was established in 1948 and specializes in delivering quality sound solutions and professional customer support serving Greater Cincinnati and the Tri state area.
