New Equipment for the Metallurgical Lab

The metallurgical laboratory in the Columbus office has recently upgraded several pieces of equipment to increase productivity and quality. An automatic mounting press was purchased which reduces the time required to prepare metallographic mounts by over 75% while increasing the quality of the mounts. A semi-automatic polisher was added which has cut the time to polish metal samples in half while increasing quality and consistency. Finally, a semi-automatic digital Rockwell hardness tester was purchased that is more accurate that the old hardness tester and performs a statistical analysis on the results automatically. This new equipment will enhance CTL Engineering's ability to perform failure analysis and quality control studies for clients that rely upon us for these services.
