A Message from the President
Dear Fellow Employee Owners;
We are into the first quarter of 2007 and in the third year of a five-year Strategic Plan that began in 2005. The Goal for 2010 was to achieve a growth rate of 8% per year with a profit margin of 10%. Our growth and performance in 2006 was slower than 2005. However, CTL as a whole was profitable for the year 2006. This is the result of all of your efforts. It is heartening to note that Ownership Culture has taken root in many of the employees of CTL. This culture is prevalent and is shown by employees diligently improving our service to Clients and efforts to reduce errors. Letters of reference from our clients has recognized this performance. The Safety Committee has committed itself to improve our safety record. Kudos to their effort. The ESOP Education Committee is continuing to educate all employees on the benefits of ownership. The Fun Czar Group continues to look for ways to make employment at CTL fun and enjoyable. All of these efforts have helped in increasing the retention of employees.
As you all know CTL has taken one more step to diversify by the acquisition of MLS, an organization providing services to the telecommunication industry. MLS was awarded a major contract in Dayton, OH and I have been told many more to come. Congratulations to MLS staff.
In order to continue in the path of success we need to persevere. A friend Mr. Bharat Narang sent the following saying to me that we all need to follow for success.
Every morning time credits us with 86400 Seconds.
Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this we have failed to invest to good purpose.
It carries over no balance, it allows no overdraft.
Each day it opens a new account for us.
Each night it burns the remains of the days.
If we fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is ours.
There is no going back. There is no drawing against the TOMORROW.
We must live in the present on today's deposits.
Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in Health, Happiness and Success.
The clock is running make the most of Today.
YESTERDAY IS HISTORY. TOMORROW IS MYSTERY. TODAY IS A GIFT. THAT'S WHY IT'S CALLED THE PRESENT
Sincerely,
C.K. Satyapriya
