A Message from the President
"Dear Fellow Employee Owners"
The theme of this newsletter is learning. As Mr. Garrick Utley said “ Learning, of course, does not begin when you are dropped off at Kindergarten – nor does it end when you are handed a diploma”. Nobel Laureate Dr. Eric Kandel said that “ Learning is the acquisition of new information of the world and memory is the process by which you hold on to this information over time”. The list of quotes goes on and on, but the most important aspect is that we need to recognize first and foremost that we do not know everything and we can always learn from everybody, irrespective of their age and/or their position. Once you acknowledge this fact, you will be great student throughout your life.
Learning is to the mind as exercise is to the body. Further, learning helps us be more innovative. Innovation is necessary for CTL to be the leaders of our industry and, more importantly, provide solutions that will benefit the Client. Change is a constant. Innovation keeps our mind sharp and increases our adaptability to meet change.
In recognition of this, CTL Engineering has and will continue to support learning. Part of learning is constantly re-training. You will see articles in the newsletter illustrating re-training as well as new educational opportunities at CTL. Please feel free to send suggestions regarding educational needs to your department managers and/or me. As always, my door is open for suggestions for improvement.
Sincerely,
C.K. Satyapriya
President & CEO
