A Message from the President
"Dear Fellow Employee Owners"
The below statement was from a book that has a lot to add to the overall theme of the year being TEAMWORK.
Mind - Individual - Relationship - Organizations
Mind is an individual phenomenon, and is the focal point of creativity. When individuals come together, organization comes into existence. The capacity of individuals to form an organization is very important because no productive activity can be undertaken without an organization. An organization needs trust. People must trust each other to form an organization, to identify an area of operation, to carry out the operation and produce results. Efficiency is the quality of individuals depending upon his skills, knowledge and attitude. But effectiveness is an organizational property. What is effectiveness? It is people coming together setting aside their immediate comforts and considerations to form groups and achieve results. In simple terms effectiveness is a capacity to deliver in a given situation. It is probably cliché to note that the word “team” does not have a “I” in it. In order to come together each person needs to know themselves first. This requires a critical assessment of your abilities and more importantly your weakness. Once you know these, you should look at the strengths and weakness of your department, branch, and even CTL as a whole. Then you can find ways to support each other.
The next most important issue is to learn. Change is a constant. To keep up with change learning is very important. Learning can and should happen irrespective of one’s age or position. Learning helps us to improve and stay ahead of the competition. CTL has taken steps to educate all employees and adapt to change. Examples are Business Management Database (BMD), Concrete Reporting Program (CRP), etc.
All of the above will help us to work together as an effective TEAM.
Sincerely,
C.K. Satyapriya
