Message From The President
A Penny Saved is a Penny Earned
"Dear Fellow Employee Owners"
First of all, I would like to congratulate Ali Jamshidi and Anne Taylor for these efforts in collecting donations for both The American heart Association and the Katrina Relief fund. This wouldn’t have been successful without their leadership combined with the participation of all CTL employees. Thank You.
I also want to congratulate and thank all CTL employees for their hardwork and dedication that has made this company an ongoing success. The share value increase over the last two years is evidence of your diligence that has benefited everyone. This year appears to be going well; however, two of the biggest impediments to success is complacency and ego. Yes, we need to take pride in our success, but we cannot rest on our laurels. We need to recognize that our competition is working hard to better themselves, and so must we to remain competitive.
I am sure you are wondering how the aforementioned adage relates to the first two paragraphs. NO! I have not gone crazy. Let me explain.
There are many issues beyond our control that are of concern to me. The increase of gasoline prices with associated effects on inflation, the nation deficits, and our dependency on foreign sources of energy are among a few. There are a few actions that we, here at CTL, can take to help improve the situation.
- Turn off your vehicle while you are away for longer periods of time.
- Turn off lights and computers over nights and weekends.
- Do not permanently leave on various machines.
- Print documents or reports only once, when possible.
- Plan ahead and perform tasks correctly the first time.
I strongly recommend energy conservation for the sake of CTL, the nation, and the world in general. The conservation of these actions will add up employee by employee and with will help in saving money; therein lies the message, A penny saved is a penny earned.
Thank you
all for your cooperation.
